Hello, everyone! This year was my first time switching schools since kindergarten. I'm a freshman in high school. Honestly, middle school was a living hell for me. High school is so much better, and I definitely chose the right school: Baltimore School for the Arts.
Below are pictures of my friends and me. Some of them are new. Some of them I already knew, but I've become closer to them.
This is Lizzie. She plays violin, and she's always very understanding. She also will listen to anything you have to say--no matter how stupid she think it is. She's a total sweet heart. I've also heard her rehearse her recital piece. It seems like a very difficult piece but she plays it so effortlessly.
This is Cameron. She's super funny, nice, and accepting of others and their opinions. I knew her a little bit before BSA, but we're better friends now. She plays trumpet, and she plays it very well too. I have no classes with her, which sucks, but I still get to send her ugly selfies on snapchat.
This is Shira. She's the sweetest girl I know. She's super caring and gentle. I've never heard her say anything rude. I also like that she tolerates my weird faces that I make at lunch. She plays violin, just like Lizzie.
This is my best friend, Ikemba. He's probably the weirdest person (in a good way) that I've ever met. We're always there for each other and he seriously gives the best hugs because he's always really warm. He's an actor. He was explaining why he was a good actor, and it was truly amazing to hear what he said. This isn't an exact quote, but he explained:
He has low self esteem and he sometimes wishes he was someone else, and acting is a way he can be someone else to escape his own thoughts for a little while.
These girls are Gabby (left) and Katie (right). I'm the one in the middle making a face. Gabby, a visual arts major, is also one of my best friends. She's always there when I need anything, and she's completely hilarious. She's also very straight forward. She will tell you the truth as long as it doesn't hurt your feelings. She's just the definition of awesome, and she's one of my best friends ever.
Katie, stage tech major, is super sweet to everyone. She has a great sense of humor, and she is one of my favorite people because she gave me one of those itchy, plastic spider rings on halloween. It was the coolest thing ever. The picture above is at the Issues Journeys Noise Tour. Gabby and I went together, and we didn't know that we'd run into Katie.
Even though there are fifty trillion more people on my list, the last person I'm gonna talk about is Maia. We met at TWIGS, and we've been super close ever since. She's always there for me and everyone else. She never judges and is super talented. Like me, she's a vocal major. I love her so much, and she will forever and always be my best friend.
Those are all of the friends I'm going to talk about, but all of them have given me a chance to escape the assholes (excuse my language) at my old school and accepted me. They've given me a new beginning, and I'm so thankful for that.
If any of my friends read this:
I love you all so much!
Have a great day!
